Digital systems for restaurants
The phone rings hardest exactly when the floor is busiest. Booking, ordering, and answering that do not need someone to leave a table.
Start a conversationThe phone rings when nobody can reach it
Restaurant phone traffic and restaurant workload peak at the same moment. Six to eight in the evening is when people decide to book a table, and it is also when every member of staff is carrying plates. Somebody breaks off, walks to the phone, takes a booking on paper, and walks back. Or nobody does, and it rings out.
A missed reservation call is not a deferred booking. Anyone ringing a restaurant at seven has a table in mind for tonight or this week and a list of alternatives. They ring the next place. There is nothing to follow up on afterwards, because you never learned they called.
The calls that do get answered are often not bookings at all. Are you open on Monday. Do you have anything gluten free. Is there parking. Do you take dogs. Do you do set menus for twelve. Each one is thirty seconds of a server time during service, repeated all evening, and none of them need a person who knows the restaurant.
Meanwhile the delivery platforms take a cut of every order that arrives through them, and a share of those customers would have ordered directly if ordering directly had been easy.
How it works
- The agent takes reservations against real availabilityCovers, time, party size, and the tables you actually have, written into the booking system you already use. Not a message for somebody to transcribe later.
- It answers the questions that fill the lineOpening hours, dietary options, parking, accessibility, whether you take walk-ins, whether the terrace is covered. The agent is loaded with your real answers, so nobody on the floor is repeating them.
- Large parties and events route to a personGroup bookings and private hire are worth a conversation and usually a deposit. The agent captures the details and hands the call to whoever owns it.
- Direct ordering lives on your own siteAn ordering page you own, so repeat customers have somewhere to go that is not a marketplace taking a percentage. It works on a phone, because that is where the order is placed.
- Confirmations and reminders cut no-showsAutomatic confirmation when the booking is made and a reminder before the sitting, so a table that was going to go empty is released early enough to be refilled.

How we build
The agent works from your real menu, hours and floor plan rules, so it answers a dietary question properly without interrupting someone carrying plates.
If your reservation system cannot be connected directly, we tell you before we quote.
Common questions
Most of the common systems can be connected. We check which one you run and what it exposes before quoting. Where a direct connection is not possible, the agent books against a linked calendar that stays in step with the floor plan.
Those are routed to a person by default. They usually involve a deposit, a menu conversation, and a judgement call about the room, none of which should be automated.
Ordering works better on a page than on a phone call, because the customer can see the menu and the total. We usually pair the voice agent for reservations with direct ordering on your own site.
It can. Which languages are worth adding comes out of your own call patterns.
The agent offers the nearest alternatives and takes waitlist details. A full night is the most valuable time you have to be capturing demand.
Not on its own, and we would not claim otherwise. What it does is give your repeat customers a direct route that costs you no commission, which matters most for the orders that were never at risk of going elsewhere.
